V&SAR Joint Stock corten steel roomette sleeping car Tarkinji was built at the South Australian Railways Islington Workshops for use on "The Overland".

Re-entered service after conversion to crew car for use by Australia Southern Railway. Several compartment were removed, being replaced by a kitchen and lounge area. The carriage was painted orange.

Returned to service. [cp_11.2000]
