V&SAR Joint stock wooden sleeping car Loddon was built at the Victorian Railways Newport Workshops for use on "The Overland". It was originally called Melbourne, but its name was changed to Loddon in 1910.

12.1923Electric light replaced gas lighting.
6.1936Auto couplers fitted.
27.6.1969South Australian Railways equity brought by Victorian Railways.
16.9.1969Altered to "Sleeping car No. 10".
6.1986Being used on the "Train of Knowledge". Fitted with 4 wheel roller bearing bogies.
1.2.1990Withdrawn and allocated to AREA.
1997-98Allocated to Syemour Rail Heritage Centre.
