Brake vans converted from "NCB" class cattle van during WWII for use on troop trains. The underframe were built by Perry engineering, the body by Commonwealth Railways.

NCB 549 -- NY 48

Brake van converted from "NCB" class cattle van during WWII for use on troop trains.
-Entered service as, possible in 1927, "NCB 549" cattle wagon.
11.2.1943Converted to "NY 48" brake van.
9.8.1947Reconverted to "NCB 549".
5.1981On CAR as "NCB".

NCB 569 -- NY 49

9.3.1943Converted to "NY 49" brake van.
