1929 The first C.R. train to enter Alice Springs (Stuart) NM 22. This was a stock train and arrived before the first Ghan to Alice Springs. W.J.Crowe on headlight (fireman), Jack McPherson (driver) on toolbox. Stock was from "Bonnings" and involved 2 trains. Also Lionel Kingston (Punch), Fred Swanson, Guards Dick Johnson and Bert Garlic.
