KA class.

The "KA" class were all built in Queensland by "Walkers Ltd" again as a slight modification of a NSW design (Based on NSWGR D53 class). They were almost identical to the "K" class, being also fitted with 4ft. 3in. driving wheels but weighing slightly more at 119 tons.

The second batch of "KA" class were all built by "Perry Engineering" at their Gawler manufacturing plant.
