Cost of Trans-Australian Carriages

The estimate of cost for passenger rollingstock in 1911 was as follows:

Six boudoir cars at £4,500 each, six dining cars at £4,500 each, ten composite carriages at £2,100 each, eight second class carriages at £1,950 each, six bogie passenger brake vans at £1,300 each.
