"M" class bulk mail and luggage van built by the Commonwealth Railways, at their Port Augusta Workshops, on the State Implement Works built underframe of "RA 669"

4.10.1957Fitted with roller bearing bogies.
29.1.1969Written off and body sold to Whyalla Gliding club.
23.10.1969The underframe was converted to narrow gauge "NRD 1663" flat.
1976Converted to ballast plough "BPA 2599".
By 1995Recoded "AZZF 2599".
1.7.1998To Australian Rail Track Corporation.

M/MA 36 -- NRD 1662 -- R/AZZF 2605

"M" class bulk mail and luggage van built by the Commonwealth Railways at their Port Augusta Workshops, on the supplied underframe of an RA wagon
12.2.1918Entered service.
1954Converted to "MA".
29.1.1968Written off.
1969Body sold to Whyalla Gliding club.
1969Underframe used for narrow gauge flat wagon "NRD 1662".
1969Recoded "R 2605" in 1977 for use on standard gauge.
By 1995Recoded "AZZF 2605".

M/MA 37 -- NRD 1661 -- BP/AZZF 2601

16.11.1965Written off and underframe converted to narrow gauge flat "NRD 1661".
1977Converted to standard gauge ballast plough "BPA 2601".

20.10.1960Written off.

M/VG/PG 69

"M" class bulk mail and luggage van built by the Commonwealth Railways at their Port Augusta Workshops.
24.1.1944Entered service.
6.4.1964Mail van was written off.
28.7.1966A "VG" class power van was built on the underframe and 4 GM engines installed.
30.11.1984Recoded "PG".
