Thursday 2nd May 2002 The Parlour car Norman at Warrnambool. It is seen here as part of the West Coast Railway Warrnambool May Racing Carnival 2003 Warrnambool Cup Race special. This carriage was built exclusively for use on the Spirit Of Progress in 1937, it is now available for hire by the general public for use on Special trains on the broad gauge.

West Coast Railway is the only mainline operator in Victoria that still run race trains to racing carnivals, Race trains where once a common occurrence to grace the Victorian Railways tracks but now except for the Warrnambool line, the race train is now a thing of the past. (Paul Dalton)
