I've found that there definitely is a noticeable delay on buses, compared
with the pre-MetCrud boarding times. There is also a noticeable delay if the
person in front of me blocks the aisle to validate their ticket on trams.
However, on trams this is irrelevant: unless there is someone standing guard
on every entrance on trams, you're never going to get more than about 10% of
sheep re-validating their tickets. I don't intend to be part of the 10%.
Which brings us back to the original topic of this thread - the annoying
"Swanston Trams" messages that try to coerce travellers into thinking that
they need to revalidate their tickets...
