The number of trains stabled overnight at Flinders Street is low about
20. I forgot that there is a yard near North Melbourne that is only for
daytime use at the moment and will be upgraded for overnight stabeling.
This will hold about 8 trains. When all the trains in Flinders Street
(Weekday offpeek) the yards at places like Ringwood, Upper Ferntree
Gully, Lylidale, Glen Waverly, Etc are empty. I also listed in a
posting about a month ago changes to the system this inculded 15 minute
Frequency during the day on most lines and six car trains, this will
reduce the trains stored during the day.

I also noted the re-connection of platfrom 10 at Flinders Street (old
Port Melb. Platfrom) What will be its use? They have almost finished.
They have put together all the points and prepared the track bed and
they just nead to put the points into position and put back the
overhead.
