I always understood that the Short North's G-sets were stabled at Gosford
Friday night to Monday morning except for special workings (is this right or
wrong?).

If you leave the G sets stabled at Gosford they won't take you anywhere let
alone where you want to go. But if you transfer the sets to the city (up on
Friday night and down on Sunday night), hey presto, you can use them (on the
Boeing runs). Easily done (albeit more expensive). Maybe you'd use the
transfers to add extra services from the Central Coast early Sat AM.
