Our Fleet

Most of the information on the following pages is extracted from "The Tramway Museum, St Kilda, SA", a Museum production which contains considerably more information on the Museum's history and fleet. Other information is from "Destination Paradise" and "Destination City (Fifth Edition)", the rolling stock registers of Adelaide and Melbourne respectively. All of these books are available from the Museum bookshop.

Note
The trams that can be seen by the public are those that are used for Operations and those on display in the North Tram (New) and South Tram (Display) Shed. The trams used for operations are currently a selection of those from the Main and South Tram Sheds that are serviceable.

The other sheds (Main, Tram Storage and Body Shop) are not available for general public viewing, although tours can sometimes be arranged on request. For this it is recommended to notify us of your visit in advance, especially for groups. This gives us a chance to ensure we have appropriate staff available on the day.
