Which govt? We've just had a change of govt. According to the rest of the
thread it was govt policy not to buy Tangaras - that's strange, Cain/Kirner
did, and that mob are back in. I remember not long after Bruce Baird became
transport minister he went and complimented the previous labor govt for
buying Tangaras, he said the best thing they ever did. I don't think govt
policy and train ops have a lot to do with each other - just mindlessness
and pigheadedness and parochialism.
