Yes it is - a newsgroup where all Australian railways issues can be
discussed, including Cityrail's diabolical service

Who said anything about NO trackwork? Why the whole of January on the
Central Coast, why all weekends on some lines? Why all the way from
Strathfield to St Marys?

How can the Shinkansen operate every day of the year at 250+km/h with only
scheduled night maintenance? Why does Cityrail make it almost impossible to
get anywhere on weekends. Why are weekday workers treated like God and
everyone else sh_t?

No there isn't. There rarely is. Sydney has so many alternate routes - goods
lines, alternate ways to Glenfield, Cabramatta, Turrella, Bankstown, Hornsby
etc. Why can't they make EVERY last attempt to get passengers to their
destination by train first, use diesels for dead patches, single line
working, do the working at night, only use buses where absolutely necessary.
Why is it I'm driving all the time on weekends? Where's the service?

Why did my girlfriend by the ridiculously expensive airport ticket from
central, get left at Central for 30 minutes, no announcements - NOTHING,
slow crawl to Domestic - miss her flight? Stupid her - she forgot she needed
a taxi in Sydney. "9 minutes from Central to the Airport!". No apology ,
nothing.

[Now waiting for the chorus of Cityrail defenders/lackies to tell me that
somehow that particular line is not Cityrail - some other mythical beast,
blame someone else for it...]

You sh_theads who work for/defend Cityrail in this newsgroup - would you
waste your hard earned money (that you've sweated so hard to earn) on a
non-service like this. Go ahead and drive your cars everywhere. Why catch
the train?
