Maybe that is the way the Train controllers understood it but that is not
the way the drivers work it... they get i free swing then the white flag
goes up... They depend on the drivers to make the time up for them when the
trains, in most cases are already tabled at sectional running, which in the
case of XPT's is on the speed boards..

2 knocks on most services sure over the whole length of the journey... but
when they belt 4 or 5 freighters, city rail services and sometimes even a hi
rail or 2 into an XPT is a bit much....

Yes Peter, that was b4 there were extended loops north of Casino..

And what also should be realised is there is no such thing a a 5 minute
cross.. it may look liike that on the graph, where the sideways line is only
5 mins, but have a look at the time at the loop prior and the loop after the
crossing and u will see the delay is nearly twice as long as they standing
time..
