Re: [Melb] Broadmeadows re-signalling

: > Are they controlled by the position of the block instruments?

: No, there are no Victorian Block instruments connected in any way to
: Starting Signals. However there are Staff Proving contacts at
: Newport, controlling the Starting Signals, which I suppose are of not
: dissimilar concept.

Don't forget Brooklyn - Newport. (At Brooklyn) on both the east line
(miniture staff, linked to no.4) and the west line (large staff, linked
to no.14) (I think the numbers are the lever numbers, not the post
numbers, I can't remember)

There used to be the same thing for Brooklyn - Tottenham "B", but is not
used anymore, there is a "block" light on the panel for that section.

What does this block light mean? That there is no staff out, or no train
on the section?
