Yes I guess this is possible because some labs do not care at all. But some do and the
smaller independent labs are usually reliable. They are the ones with overheads to pay
for and if the income is not there then .... well you can guess the rest. It is a pity
you do not live near Seymour because I have never been accused of exposing film
whether I cared or not. At Seymour we care very greatly and would always love the
chance to process your railway pictures.

A story about how I got into it. Some photographs of stormy afternoon in Glen Huntly
Road outside Glen Huntly Depot with W classes coming out of the darkening skies -
lovely stuff in silhouette. When the pictures were handed to me the storm had
disappeared in the attempt to make the picture look bright like a sunny day. When I
made the comment the owner said "Well come here, do them yourself" and he showed me
how the machine operated. Since then I printed all my own films (between their other
work) and now own the place.
