>From a livery point of view, A66 would be the best A class to preserve. It has
been painted in the Bicentennial livery, Olympics, the standard V/Line and now
the private operator livery of whoever owns it. All these liveries will keep the
railfans happy without having to paint it in a Steamrail paint job. A60 is ideal
for the museum because it was rebuilt from B60 and it also represents a standard
A class. There is nothing special about this loco apart from its history. Of
course, when these locos are withdrawn they will probably be sold to the highest
bidder so preservation is unlikely. Its nice to dream though. :-)
