AFAIK the 4D did receive maintenance at the CMD at Spencer St.  It (the 4D)
would go off in the Layby Sidings, and then get shunted into the CMD by the Pass
Yard Pilot.

It doesn't.  Not unless it gets some sort of open air top deck.
