Melb 4D fails for last time

Hi All,

After the ongoing lack of service provided by this orphan, rumour has it
that the double deck is being withdrwan from service for good.  It has been
keeping the rails at bayswater Mainteneance Centre company for the past few
weeks due to severe wheelslip problems, and after supposedly correcting this
problem, the set failed again this morning on an up Blackburn service,
resulting in a forty minute delay.

Management are apparently concerned that if this continues, fines will be
imposed and are very keen to offload the problem before it becomes critical.

It seems the buckets of sand placed in the crew compartments are not a
satisfactory hi tech  solution to such a simple problem such as wheelslip
problems out of Chatham station on the down journey.

So, to all of you who wanted to ride on this albino, time may have run
out...............
