FV seems to think they have it in the bag......but rumours from the Pass
Division seem to think that the Pomm's will get it!
of course that would be wishful thinking...think it over this way:-
PTC pays redundancy payments of all people not re-employed by the new
owners. As FV now have taken on all the V/Line Freight employees,
it is most likely that many V/Line Pass employees will not be taken on, as
the economics of not having to travel crews everywhere, and of returning
pass drivers on Goods Trains, and vice versa, etc., etc., [in other words
back to pre separation days] You would think the savings in crews will
reflect badly on the numbers being taken up by FV., and so lets hope for
their sakes that the Pom's get it??
