Hey don't complain too much about your ticket machines or we will send ours from
Melbourne. Yours are Rolls Royces compared to ours. But I agree about spending money
to find the worst. They're all good at that.

On a related subject, VR should have run BlueBirds instead of the Walkers (they were
built about the same time although I admit that the Walkers were ordered slightly
earlier) but state parochialism dictated otherwise. Now that we are almost private,
suddenly we decide to run BlueBirds. The trouble is we are 45 years too late. I
imagine that a private operator will not have any problems with adopting other states
good ideas and using them, like good rolling stock etc. Or better ticket machines.
