Right on!. There is probably nothing wrong with the DVA itself (except
that a few seem to have the volume up far to loud).
The voice might be automatic, but the system control is manual!.

Late last week, the SA on duty at Martin Place told the system to announce
a Mortdale train as Cronulla!. The indicators (automatic) were correct.
After a number of confused commuters hasseled the SA, she went back into
the office and had another go at it.

What they should do is hook the DVA up to the same system as the indicators,
which in the city stations would mean almost totaly automatic control.
(The indicators are normaly remote controled from Sydney Box..)
