Maybe, but the genuine faithful (members/ faction members) could be said to
have more than "one eye" - preferably three (one at the back of the head to
see the knives coming)

Cut enough trees down and the forest becomes quite clear

Thats right. Why do you think unions have so many blues with the A.L.P. when
the workers party hurts the people it was created to help??? [By the way
your beloved spell checker conked out!!]

Maybe because many drivers couldn't be bothered to support the union and let
it get shafted.
I know some good, efficient and enthusistic drivers who loved their job,
worked voluntarily on days off to assist with rail enthusiast endeavours and
did more to "sell" the railway to customers than the lazy incompetent [Lose]
"Sales" Department in Head Office, yet when [Tasrail] got privatised, lost
their jobs, purely because they believed in serving the best interest of
their workmates - those same workmates, some (not all) who hate their job
and couldn't care less about the railway or it's customers, but were first
in line to sign on the dotted line of their A.W.A.'s.
