Roma Street is one of the few places in Australia that, as a mature age
railfan, have been told that my activities were illegal. Quietly taking a
photo of a tin set from the opposite platform. Plenty of commuters around as
it was the evening peak hour. The staff that harassed me were female and
young enough to be my daughters! They made it clear there was "zero
tolerance" of railfans on the Queensland Railways and that I would be
arrested if I took any photographs. One of them appeared to be armed and was
ready to draw her gun. It was quite a frightening experience at the time.
