Multi-modal ticketing is available on every service in metropolitan
Melbourne, with the exception of airport buses. That is one standard ticket
for EVERY bus, EVERY tram and EVERY train - regardless of who runs it. Only
on the route beyond Mt Martha on the Mornington Peninsula (nearly 2 hours
from central Melbourne) does multi-modal ticketing disappear.

Most of the Metcard problems are to do with automated ticketing, nothing to
do with multi-modal ticketing.

Sorry Bill, Sydney has nothing - repeat NOTHING - anything remotely
resembling this.

(Operators are trying to undo this, but that is a different story)
