If the system you are making a comparision to acaullay existed, it
might be a valid comparision, but in practice it doesn't exist.
Metcard is at best unevenly implemented in Melbourne and has a bunch
of problems which have been well documented in this new group.

The Sydney multimode system doesn't cover private operators but it
does work for effectivley for a lot of Sydney commuters.
