Type F

(Bogie drop-centre cars)

This is Adelaide's drop centre tram design. These trams becamse the mainstay of the Adelaide fleet. Seventeen of these cars had their seating capacity reduced to 56 seats when a driver's door was fitted to the saloon bulkhead.

Electrics: 4 x 40hp DK84B motors (251-262), 4 x 50hp DK105F motors (remainder)
Size: 49 ft x 8ft 10in
Seating/Crush load: 60/170

These are similar to the F's, except that they had all steel underframes. Twenty two of them had their seating capacity reduced later in the same way as the type F trams.
