Re: Uncompleted Railways

At school many moons ago,(school now J****d)I saw a map in a Victorian Gov.
book which showed a proposed line connecting Orbost and Bombala.

I have also seen an old road map which showed a railway line from Orbost to
Nowra along the coast
At a guess both lines may have had something to do with the proposed site of
the Capital and the inevitable toeing and throwing which would have gone on
between Vic.and N.S.W in that period.
