Hi,
Two weeks ago I purchased my first monthly Metcard. Up until then I had
been buying weeklies. Of using Metcard for approximately 12 months now
(When Glenroy was premiumised, and converted to Metcard) I have had two
failed Metcards. As of last Sunday, my monthly Metcard failed. After having
this week off extremely sick, I haven't been able to guage many reactions
from staff about not validating, however, having encountered one ticket
inspector with it, there did not seem to be any problems. He scanned it
through his portable ticket reader three times, obviously not able to get
it right the first and second, but gave the ticket back and said "thank
you, have a nice day".
I would say Metcard isn't evil, but it has still robbed the jobs of many,
and convenience/service to many more, in it's implementation, so I still
have no choice but to say, it's still evil.
Regards
Michael
