Nothing wrong with the XPT - it is a GREAT daylight service train (no good
for overnight though) - they just need to get the catering right.

I actually prefer those cars - for Economy travel, they are better than the
XPT and Xploder. For overnight travel, I prefer them to XPT and Xploder
First Class.

Yeah - NR did not speak to Countrylink - CL would have put the extra money
in to get rid of it.

It was predicted. But they did not think it would be a problem. After the
first Easter Show, they relised it WOULD be a problem. No money was lost
though. The solution BEFORE the event would be exactly what exists now, and
it would have cost the same, only it would have happened sooner.
