Peterbrough Station news Wed 24th nov 1999.

Good afternoon from Peterborough, a beautiful day
here today 26%, local time now 17:13 CST.
Very quiet day at the station with only 3 lots of
rail traffic up until this time.
1st through at 11am was a bit of a surprise, as
I knew no trains were due , travelling westbound
at a fair speed was a sole track maintenance vehicle
EM80-E , this was part of the track grinding
motorised consist, I think.

Next train through was a late running east bound
Indian Pacific at 11:50 desperately trying to make up
time, with the sole loco NR52 blasting through the station
horn blazing and trailing black exhaust smoke, this
was ,to say the least, a realy rememorable experience.

The eastbound Trailer Railer was next train through,
at 12:40 riding the rails smooth and quiet, this would
have to be the quietest freight through Pboro, loco
in charge was NR34.

Thats all for today from Peterborough Station
 Enjoy your Trains.
