he signalling has been upgrade in the early 1980's for trains to geet
from Mitcham to Nunawading and from Blackburn to Laburnam with 90sec
headways.  But the rest is still as is from the 1950's.  

This is part of my current project.  (A book about signalling, safeworking
and level crossing protection in Victoria)
