It's an impressive system.

I arrived in Perth from Sydney on the Indian Pacific, and found my way to
the East Perth suburban platforms.  I then needed to work out how to get to
Perth and how long I was going to have to wait, etc, and I found the system
on the platform a big help.  I remember thinking that if I'd been at a
similar sort of station in Melbourne, early Sunday morning, I don't think it
would have been as easy to work out what I was doing.
