I used to live in Hawthorn, near where the 70 and 75 meet. The 70 would
beat the 75 hands down, partly because of more stops for the 75 in
Flinders Street, but also because of a lot of busy stops in Bridge Road.
The 70 is pretty zippy between Burnley and Hawthorn because it's mostly
parkland - not many passengers or traffic lights.

Anybody know how close the Tennis Centre stop is going to be to the
centre? Is there a proper pathway to the centre, or will people just
have to dodge through the carpark? Personally I think for Olympic
Park/Tennis Centre patrons, it's a bit of a downgrade in service. Can
you imagine the tennis crowds waiting at the Swanston Street/Flinders
Street stop during the next Aus Open?

And I wonder why they didn't put the trams on the eastern side of the
Exhibition Street extension, so they wouldn't have to cross car traffic
twice.
