A rail reservation was proposed when Tullamarine airport was planned.
It was defeated in parliament with the help of the then Country Party, not
then in coalition, who wanted money spent on rural not metropolitan
transport. Check your facts before you slag off the Govt., although I agree
with you about pollies in general. "A week is a long time in politics".
