Correct.  Color scientists use the terms "additive color space" for light
(red + blue + green = white), and "subtractive color space" for pigments
(shine white light onto red pigment and the pigment "subtracts", i.e. does
not reflect, the parts of the color spectrum other than red).  Not that this
has beans to do with transportation :-)
