Once again "experts" strike again.

We can't use the guards controls near the doors because it is dangerous.
You can't watch the train in and out of the platform because the "crew" door
settings are the same as the "passenger" settings and will close upon hitting
5kph.
The guards also can't keep an eye on passengers behind them.
You can't make anouncements and as David Johnson or any other guard will tell
you can be dragged over the coals and possibly sued by any one hurt.
Before you go on that endevours do it, they have one door, control panels
mounted on the side so that the guard can keep an eye on passengers and the door
vestibule door can be locked if need be. The "crew door" can be opened at any
speed so the guard can watch the train in and out of the platform.

If you were to try making this work, you fault under union regs and OHS.

I should know because I wanted to do this when I first became a guard but was
put in my place. (Rightly so.)
