Violence on Sydney trains

                Is the Carr government really stupid or do they think, we
travellers don't really see what is going on. I travel the trains pretty
often and I am totally disgusted about the Chubb Security Guards. A woman
complained to me about some young men harrassing her on Lidcombe Station at
about 23.25. They called her names and threated to hit her. She told me that
she asked a Chubb guard if he could help, but surprise, surprise he said he
was off duty.

                  On the same train which I catch reguarlly a man got on
with
a pizza and was threatened by about 6 Islanders who must have been having a
party. They where drinking and smoking. What could the Chubb guards do. I
tell you what they could do and that nothing. They have no special powers,
can not throw peolpe of the train and when they do want to do something they
have to call the Police who most of the time they take a long time to come.

      If Bob Carr and Labour really think the trains are safe get them to
ride the trains by themselves and with no Police bodyguards and no media. I
would like to hear what he says then. These men don't catch the train at
11.30pm and live in a fantasy world of bodyguards and cars, like a James
Bond
movie, while Mr and Mrs Joe Citizen rely on just not being in the wrong
place
at the wrong time.
