I've thought that it may be a good idea to strip politicians in metro areas
(both parties) of their driver's licences for say, 1 year, in an attempt to
force them to use public transport. If they were to end up regular commuters,
the public transport situation could be improved. Remember that they *all* live
in ivory towers, and don't give a damn about the general public (except at
elections!).

Interesting to see Der Fuhrer errr... Jeff Kennett being rather patronising
towards the father of a young woman recently attacked on a Melbourne train.
"Retarded" Cooper was also going on about how safe the trains are.
