I don't know why I've become involved in this, but really this argument is going too far

i believe he was referring to 'his' train as the train he is taking charge of

his guard door, not the train doors. he closes it before the train has cleared the platformso he isn't an open moving target as the train rolls out of a station. Yes, you
can tell if there's
trouble brewing from people approaching you.
