Hi David,
Did you mean BNE and MBH have two sleeping car trains in the past at
the same time? 

The Brisbane Express N3/4  was the train that was transferred to
Murwillumbah to become the Gold Coast MotoRail still labelled N3/4.

I know during the Brisbane Expo there was the Expo Express as a second
sleeper train to Brisbane but it only ran for a few months.

I remember about 10 years ago the Overnight Express was extended to
M'bah for a short time as well as the Pacific Coast MotoRail [nee Gold
Coast MotoRail before 30/5/87].
