Two questions:

What is the truth of media reports (if such can be said to have
truth), that arguments over the telephone broke out after the accident
and (in one report, by implication) that argy-bargy over the phone
also occurred before the accident and that Justice MacInerney wanted
the tapes of these as evidence?

What is the strength of MacInerney going back to the Govt. two or
three days after being appointed to have the giving of evidence to him
made compulsory?
