Keep in mind you arent comparing apples and apples...well for starters go price the cost of apples in each location!!
even better whentravelling years ago I used "mars bars" as a comparison for vlaue and costings....apparently it is now
"Big Macs"...if you think this is so silly..try it...it actually gives a very accurate appreciation  of relative
values...currency exchange is only that...hasw no bearing on day to day costs of living!!
