The Tullochs and the series 1 Comeng cars should be kept as spare sets.
We don't have any spare sets, even with the coming of the new trains, because of all the new lines opening up.

Yes, you are 100% correct.

When a huge football match was played at Homebush Bay on a weekday evening a couple of months ago, a number of peak hour trains were cancelled just to provide enough trains to run to the stadium.

This is likely to happen many times in the future.

When the new 4gts enter service, the old Series 1 Comeng cars and the Tulloch trailers should be kept as spare cars for these occasions (and for when other trains need urgent maintenance). They could be repainted in different colours or sporting themes which would please the government (as they always have spare money for sport).

The question is: How can we get those in power to do something this sensible, before it's too late?
