hehehe, that's what they told us at 1250 after we
a) send all our passengers onto the 'inner roadway' (platform 2) to get
busses, then
b) got 'em all back, because things were cleared and we were running.

I was on the 1155 Sth Geelong as usual, we stop at Nth Melbourne acc. signal
failure, although word soon filters through as to what's happened. So I
return to MSS (via Melbourne Central acc. direction of sparks around the
loop), we get all the passengers off the 1235 Warrnambool and point them to
buses...then we get them all back onto the train, depart and get to
Newport....and sit there for nearly 1 hour! There were sparks in both
platforms, up Geelong's were going via Brooklyn, an up NRC steely went
through, eventually we got going, were over 80 mins late out of Geelong, and
71 late into Warrnambool. Depart Warrnambool 27 late, were only 7 late by
Werribee...get to Newport, and we hear we're going via Brooklyn! D'Oh!
Anyway, few mins later (while we're waiting for sigs at the down end of
Champion Rd) we get the go-ahead to proceed up the straight (apparently there
was point failure somewhere at Newport), we make MSS 12 late.

Just another quiet day at the office :)

Cheers,
CH.
