Freightcorp Electric loco fleet to finish up shortly

It is understood that Freighcorp want all the electric loco fleet out of
service by the end of June. 9 out of  10 of the 85 class units are now
in temporary storage at Lithgow ( 8503 is still at DELEC). 8503 and 05
were involved in a derailment in January. 8505 returned to service last
month, lasted approx 3 weeks in service, and was withdrawn. I have been
told there are currently approx. 8 x 86 cl units in service at this
stage, as Freightcorp do not have enough diesels in service yet to
totally wipe out the electric loco fleet. Also I heard a romour that
Freightcorp are considering removing all of that expensive overhead
wiring from Enfield yard.
