Its a pitty the NSR wasn't put underground, but when you think
rationaly about it any use of the ghost platforms would mean more
tunnels on the city side for network integration. I personaly cannot
see a VFT using them either, for the simple fact that it would be very
hard to get trains for the railway tunnel into the platforms. I also
think that some of the mooted plans to use St James would come up with
a likewise sonnario. For me I think its a pitty that the new line does
not have any capability what so ever to get trains into 'Sydney
Terminal' as that would make a reasonably sensiable termination point
for any VFT service.
