How much different in length are the Melbourne trains compared to
the Sydney types???.

As for Sydney's old underground, wasn't it one of only a few
undergrounds in the world that were designed for full gauge trains,
and not special trains such as those used in London and elsewhere. Me
thinks they were thinking ahead when they were built. Although I don't
think bradfield could have imagined double deckers back then though!!!
