Paint schemes are after all only painted on. If my favourite locomotive was going
to be restored to service and the cost was going to borne by, heaven forbid KFC,
I would have no objections if they wished to have their advertising all over it
for say 12 months and then after that it was ours to do what we liekd with. At
the end of 12 months we would have our favourite loco again painted in a scheme
selected by us. We would soon forget the previous scheme. WCR having spent a lot
of money and here is not the time to debate whether they spent wisely or helped
their credibility any, but surely they can paint it any colour they like. If it
changes owners in a year or two then the new owner can paint it black or green or
Canadian Red if they so wish.
